Are you a photographer looking to outsource your blog content?
Taking the first steps to outsource your blog content can lead you into a Google hole of question after question.
Here are the common questions I typically receive about blog outsourcing for photographers!
“How much does it (realistically) cost to outsource the blog content for my photography business?”
As a blogger who has worked in the creative industry for over 8 years, you can check out my competitively based pricing > here to give yourself an idea of what cost you should expect to work into your marketing budget.
“How do I find the right person to outsource my blog to?”
First, don’t be afraid to do a Google search of your own! Any good blogger worth their salt should be easily found on Google. Secondly, ask for samples of their previous client’s work. Lastly, set up a time to chat with the person so that you can get a feel for who they are and what they are about. This last step will help you ensure that their vibe matches your brand values and your business’s mission.
“How would I hand everything off (galleries, client questionnaires, etc) in order to have my blog running like clockwork without actually having to touch it?”
That answer to that depends on a few different circumstances. Do you already have a tried and true process for keeping your content calendar, client questionnaires, and galleries in check? If so, amazing! Then it should be easy to send! If you don’t have a process in place then I can guide you through what the expectations are for handing those things off including creating your content calendar and dates that galleries need to be in my (virtual) hands!
“How long will it take for my content to rank? How long will it take to outrank my competitors?”
This is a burning question that I often hear from my photographer clients. Your blogging strategy typically has an end goal of being found by your ideal clients. This means putting your content out there head and shoulders above your competitors.
I have a very straightforward answer for this one!
If you blog on a once per week basis for at least a year your blog will pull consistent rankings with each new piece of content created.
If you blog consistently on a twice per week basis for at least 6 months, your blog will also pull consistent ranks in the same way.
The route that you decide to take will be based on how much content you need to be blogged, and how much you have allocated in your marketing budget for hiring someone to outsource the blogging for your photography business. And no, it’s never too late to start blogging! Even if you feel behind, even if you feel like your competitors have been at it for years and years.
SEO is king when it comes to your business’s web presence and your blog is one of the most powerful content marketing tools at your fingertips! If you feel you’ve hit a booking plateau in your business, you find yourself scrambling to fill mini sessions or you just can’t seem to book your season out in advance, then consistent strategic blogging is the thing that will bring a steady stream of new clients your way.
